One of the many things I love about owning and teaching at Hartford Stitch is all the amazing people I get to meet. This October we had our first garment class and I quickly made the connection that one of my students followed me on Instagram and, on her account, sold some beautiful handmade pieces. Actually, the conversation may have gone more like this:
Me: I love the fabric on your bag.
Krystle: Thanks, it's a wax print cotton.
Me (putting two and two together): YOU FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM!! I LOVE YOUR STUFF! YOU HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FABRICS!!
I'm kind of lucky she came back for the next week of class after that fan girl assault!
But seriously, the fabrics she uses are gorgeous, and I can tell you first hand from her work in class, her sewing is just as beautiful.
I'll let her take over and tell you a little bit about herself and her work (and then you're going to want to order everything you see, because you're not finding anything this beautiful in your local stores!). This is just a small sampling of the items she offers. Make sure to check out her website to find more skirts, pillows, zipper pouches, infinity scarves, laptop bags, clutches, refrigerator magnets, tote bags and more!

Zipped & Printed brings you zippered pouches, fashion accessories, greeting cards, and home decor items that make a statement!
I am a teacher by day and an African by birth. The items you see in the shop represent my long love affair with wax printed cotton, bright colors, and simply built pieces.
The prints are chosen and purchased at small businesses owned by women. The other materials are selected based on their look and quality to complement the wax prints, the real stars of the show. All items are sewn and packaged in an allergen-free space before they are sent to your home.
