Once a year we get together at the studio to take the scraps we create from our workshops (and oh do we create scraps) and sew them into gorgeous patchwork quilts. The quilts are then donated to Journey Home in Hartford.

It doesn't matter if you sew or have never touched a machine, are young or old, come by yourself or bring a crew--- we would love to see you at a Community Quilt Day.

Can't wait to help? Join our 100 Block Drive between October 15th and December 15th! Use your scraps or email us to pick up a scrap pack from the studio.

About the blocks:

-All the bocks must be in one color family-- this is very important as it makes a more cohesive quilt at the end.

-Blocks should be improvisational style without a specific pattern.

-Blocks should be at least 13" x 13". We'll trim them down to size in the studio.

Drop Off:

-Drop off blocks between October 15th and December 15th at the studio. Please wrap in plastic and leave in the box on the front porch or bring inside if the door is unlocked! If dropping off in the box please be sure to leave your name and email address so we can thank you!

Not a sewer, but want to help?

Come January we will need help with donations of queen size cotton quilt batting and yardage of quilting cotton for the backing (flat sheets work well too!). We'll accept donations for these at any time, please just note it's for "Community Quilt Day" when dropping off or sending to us.
