We're kicking off our 9th year of The Community Quilt Project with our Fall Block Drive!

How it works:

Between October 15th and December 15th, sew and drop off blocks for the quilt. We request that blocks follow these guidelines:

-at least 13" x 13" (experienced quilters can trim to 12.5" x 12.5")

-all one color way (very important for cohesive quilts)

-improv in style. No traditional blocks please!

You can drop them off at the studio during our class hours or feed them through the mail slot.

Our 2026 Block Drive Goal is 300 blocks! (Last year we received 250). You can enter your block pledge below!

What happens next?​

Beginning in January we collect donations of batting, backing, and binding fabric.

​

At the end of February we host a Community Quilt Day where we begin to assemble all the quilt tops and quilt sandwiches.

​

By the beginning of March volunteers have quilted and bound the quilts! They are returned to the studio for labels and final look over.

​

In April, we will meet at Morley Elementary playground for our Quilt Hanging Send-Off! Afterwards, the quilts are delivered to Journey Home who in turn brings them to their clients who are transitioning out of homelessness.

It takes many, many hands to bring a project this size to life and we are so grateful for everyone! Whether you sew blocks, donate supplies, or spread the word-- we couldn't do it without you!
