Join us for our Open House at the new studio!
When: Sunday, November 8th from 1pm - 4pm
Where: Hartford Stitch studio, 13 Sedgwick Rd, West Hartford
Visitors are welcome to drop in throughout the afternoon and tour the new space, sew a quilted heart, try the long arm quilting machine, enjoy some refreshments, and meet some of our amazing instructors!
About the Quilted Heart
Join us in working on a community sewing project as part of the I Found a Quilted Heart project. (IFAQH)
IFAQH is a grass roots community art project that spreads kindness through quilted hearts. How the IFAQGH project works:
-Each participant will make a small quilted heart (No sewing experience? No problem! We're here to help) with supplies at our studio. Each heart will be tagged with a special IFAQH tag.
-You take your heart with you and leave it in a public space (You can find dos and donts on the IFAQH website).
-The hope is that somebody finds your heart and it makes their day! Sometimes, people post the hearts they find on the IFAQH website and it's always exciting to check the site to see if you heart has been posted.
We are grateful to the organizers of IFAQH for giving us permission to use this project as part of our Open House!
