Simple Summer Skirt

Update your wardrobe (your Me-Made-Wardrobe!) with this simple summer skirt that has... drumroll please... POCKETS! Once you have one made you'll see how easy they are and want to fill your closet with one in every color, print and fabric! We will also discuss how you can customize future skirts with fun features like paperbag waists, hem details, other pocket options and more! Date and Time: Morning Session: Friday, May 6th from 9:30am - 12:30pm with Laura Evening Session: Monday, June 27th from 6pm - 9pm with Laura Skill Level: Beginner. You should be familiar with using a sewing machine and sewing a straight-ish line. (Ex. Adult Sewing Machine 101) Ages: 16+, 13+ with paying adult or special permission Skills learned: -Measuring and cutting fabric -Sewing Pockets -Making a casing -Sewing a hem Materials Needed: -Light to midweight WOVEN (not stretchy) fabric, preferably cotton. Make sure that the fabric isn't sheer! Please see material requirements below based on your hip measurement. -For hips up to 56": 2 yards of fabric (fabric should be at least 42" wide) -For hips over 56": 2 yards of 60" wide fabric or 4 yards of 42" wide fabric -1 package of elastic. I like using a wide elastic like the 1.5" shown in the photo (or even better, 2"!) -All purpose polyester thread in a coordinating color
Cancellation Policy
-A minimum enrollment must be met by 48 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a Foundations or After School series and 4 weeks before a camp. There are no refunds or class transfers for guest teachers. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary.
