Service Description
**Early registration opens July 25th at 9am for newsletter subscribers and the 27th for general public.** Get ready for cozy stitching sessioins by hand stitching a needle book to house pins, needles, thread, and even a little pair of scissors. In this workshop, you’ll learn to make the running stitch, even backstitch, combination stitch, and whip stitch, all of which are handy for a wide variety of hand sewing applications. Class kit includes pins and needles and enough vintage French linen, wool felt, cotton quilting fabric, plant-dyed silk ribbon, and thread to make two needle books–keep one in your analog go-bag and one in your sewing area, or make one for a friend! The kit is $30 and is payable by cash, check or Venmo @Beverly-ArmyWilliams ********************* Date: Sunday, November 8th from 9am - 1pm Location: Our new studio at 13 Sedgwick Rd. An avid crocheter, knitter, weaver, quilter, and garment maker, and embroiderer, she took up hand stitching toys and garments during the pandemic. She has studied hand stitching with Louisa Owen Sonstrom, Cal Patch, Natalie Chanin, and Sarah Woodyard. When not stitching, Beverly teaches writing, makes poems, plays with watercolors and paper cutting, and hikes with her husband and handsome husky. You can follow her adventures on Instagram @Beverly_Army13. ******* Cancellation Policy: Workshops taught by guest teachers are not eligible for refunds, class transfers or credits if you cancel.
