Service Description

**Early Registration opens 7/15 for current students, 7/27 at 9am for newsletter subscribers, and 7/29 for general public.** Dates and Times: Mondays, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23 from 12:15pm - 2:15pm. Please note: there is no class on 1012, Indigenous Peoples' Day Instructor: Caroline Skill Level: Confident beginner to intermediate sewer Cost: $385 (Scholarships and payment plans available. Please contact us for more information.) Ages: 16+ What you'll learn: If you are a beginner quilter... You will learn the fundamental skills needed to make a quilt including color theory, choosing fabrics, measuring and cutting, piecing, creating a quilt top, making the quilt sandwich, quilting and binding! If you have completed a session of Quilting Foundations or have basic quilting experience... You can learn new quilt blocks with our sampler quilt, make a t-shirt quilt, or bring in a pattern of your choosing! Please note: This series requires homework between classes. Makeup Days: If you miss a class due to illness, travel, etc. you are allotted one Open Workshop as a makeup to complete your project. The Open Workshops must be used within one month after the last day of class. Materials Needed: Beginners: We will discuss colors, patterns and fabrics the first class. You do not need fabric until the second class and may find it beneficial to wait to purchase until after the first class. A material kit may be purchased from the studio. An email will be sent to you after registration with specific fabric needs. Returning Students: We'll email you with more details! Equipment Needed: You are welcome to bring your machine or use one of ours. You will need a sewing machine at home as well as a 45mm rotary cutter, self healing cutting mat, clear grid ruler and iron. Details will be included in the email you receive after registration.


Cancellation Policy

-A minimum enrollment must be met by 72 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a multi-week series, 3 weeks before an Intensive Workshop, and 4 weeks before a camp. There are no refunds or class transfers for guest teachers. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -All student requested refunds will be subject to a 3% processing fee. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary. Please note: Classes at our Park Rd studio are on the second floor and only accessible by stairs. The Sedgwick Rd studio is on the ground floor. The back classroom has a few stairs to access. Please notify us immediately if you have mobility concerns and we will do our best to accommodate.
