Community Quilt Day
Time & Location
About the event
Join us in sewing together our scraps to make beautiful blankets for Project Linus! Project Linus is a national organization witih a local chapter that "provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer 'blanketeers.'."
All experience levels are welcome. It won't be instructional so we ask that anyone who plans on sewing have experience with a sewing machine. If you can't sew we'll have plenty of other tasks for you to do like sorting scraps, pressing and helping the sewers! We ask that kids 13 and under are accompanied by an adult.
Please register for your preferred time slot. If that slot is full we will let you know-- though with the new space we can fit lots of people.
Please tell your friends! More sewers and helpers means more blankets we can donate in the community!
