**Early Registration for Newsletter Subscribers opens 2/24/24 **General Registration opens 2/26/24 Our Mini Sewing Foundations is a 6 week class for any beginner sewer-- whether you've never touched the sewing machine or want more practice to work on your basic sewing skills. (Please read below for our makeup policy). This class is designed so that you can take it more than once while learning new skills and pushing yourself with increasingly challenging projects. The complete Sewing Foundations course will also give you some experience in garment making, bag making and quilt making before you head on to those Foundations classes! Project curriculum includes (you won't make everything your first session!): -Drawstring Bag -Fabric Basket -Pillowcase -Zipper Pouch -Apron -Tote Bag -Piped zipper Pillow cover -Basic Woven Shirt -Quilted Placemats Registration includes patterns for every project you work on in class. Dates and Times: Thursdays 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, 6/13 from 9:30am-11:30am (See Class Listings for different sessions) Instructor: Laura Make-up Days: If you miss a class due to illness, travel, quarantine, etc. you are allotted one Open Workshop as a makeup. Each student is only allowed one makeup per session. Materials: Materials are not included in the cost of registration. You can purchase a material kit from the studio for $60 or purchase on your own using the list you receive the first day of class. Equipment: You are welcome to use our machines or bring your own. Foundations vs. 101: Adult Sewing Machine 101 is our crash course in how to use a sewing machine (one 2.5 hour class). Sewing Foundations gives us more time to dive into everything we learn in 101 and plenty of opportunity to practice. You know best which style of class works for you! Or, you can do like many of our students, and take both of them for the ultimate start into sewing!

Cancellation Policy

-A minimum enrollment must be met by 48 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a Foundations or After School series and 4 weeks before a camp. There are no refunds or class transfers for guest teachers. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary.
