Winter Sewing Foundations Series

Service Description
**Winter registration opens 11/23 for newsletter subscribers and 11/25 for general registration.** Class Duration: 8 weeks, please see dates below Skill Level: Novice, beginner or intermediate What you'll learn: If you're a novice or beginner student.... You will learn to operate the sewing machine and work through several projects aimed at building your basic sewing skills. The first session curriculum includes a drawstring bag, fabric basket, pillowcase, zipper pouch, and apron. If you have completed a session of Sewing Foundations or have other previous sewing experience... You are welcome to continue with the next projects in our beginner curriculum, explore the quilting, garment, or bag-making curriculum, or bring in projects of your own choosing! Not sure what projects to take on? Send us an email and we'll help you figure it out! Dates and Times: Mondays 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3. 7pm - 9pm. (See Class Listings for different sessions) Instructor: Maegan Make-up Days: If you miss a class due to illness, travel, etc. you are allotted one Open Workshop as a makeup to be completed within 1 month of the last class. Materials: Materials are not included in the cost of registration. You can purchase a material kit from the studio for $65 or purchase on your own using the list you receive the first day of class. Equipment: You are welcome to use our machines or bring your own. Foundations vs. 101: Adult Sewing Machine 101 is our crash course in how to use a sewing machine (one 2.5 hour class). Sewing Foundations gives us more time to dive into everything we learn in 101 and plenty of opportunity to practice. You know best which style of class works for you! Or, you can do like many of our students, and take both of them for the ultimate start into sewing!
Cancellation Policy
-A minimum enrollment must be met by 48 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a Foundations or After School series and 4 weeks before a camp. There are no refunds or class transfers for guest teachers. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary.
