**Fall Sewing Foundations opens July 26th for newsletter subscribers and July 28th for general registration.** This 3 day intensive is the same as an 8 week Sewing Foundations series! Perfect for those who are ready to dive right in or can't make a weekly class. You will need your materials for the first day of class. You can purchase a kit from the studio ($65) or bring in fabric of your own. A material list will be sent around ahead of class. Please also bring snacks and a lunch (plenty of great places to grab a quick lunch nearby as well!). Class Duration: Monday, 9/8 - 9/10 from 9am - 3pm Skill Level: Novice, beginner or intermediate What you'll learn: If you're a novice or beginner student.... You will learn to operate the sewing machine and work through several projects aimed at building your basic sewing skills. The first session curriculum includes a drawstring bag, fabric basket, pillowcase, zipper pouch, and apron. If you have completed a session of Sewing Foundations or have other previous sewing experience... You are welcome to continue with the next projects in our beginner curriculum, explore the quilting, garment, or bag-making curriculum, or bring in projects of your own choosing! Not sure what projects to take on? Send us an email and we'll help you figure it out! Instructor: Laura Make-up Days: There are no makeup days available for the Intensive Class. Materials: Materials are not included in the cost of registration. You can purchase a material kit from the studio for $65 or purchase on your own using the list you'll receive before class. Equipment: You are welcome to use our machines or bring your own. Foundations vs. 101: Adult Sewing Machine 101 is our crash course in how to use a sewing machine (one 2.5 hour class). Sewing Foundations gives us more time to dive into everything we learn in 101 and plenty of opportunity to practice. You know best which style of class works for you! Or, you can do like many of our students, and take both of them for the ultimate start into sewing!
Cancellation Policy
-A minimum enrollment must be met by 72 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a Foundations or After School series, 3 weeks before an Intensive Workshop, and 4 weeks before a camp. There are no refunds or class transfers for guest teachers. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -All student requested refunds will be subject to a 2.7% processing fee. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary.
