Service Description

Registration will open in July! Newsletter subscribers will have early access. Students will learn fundamental sewing skills, and build upon existing skills, using our proven sewing curriculum of fun kid-approved projects! **Registering for more than one child or more than one session? Please contact us at hello@hartfordstitch.com for one invoice. **Please note: full year registration is not yet available for Mondays. If you'd like to register for Fall Mondays and another date for Winter and Spring please contact us for a discount.** IMPORTANT: -Students must take Kid Sewing Machine 101, a private lesson or have similar experience before starting an after school class. Please contact us before enrolling if your child has experience from outside Hartford Stitch. While they don't need to be proficient, they must have experience winding a bobbin, threading a machine and sewing. You can register for a Kid Sewing Machine 101 and after school class at the same time. -There is ONE makeup class per session. This is used for illness, quarantine requirements, weather related cancellations, etc. -Student must be 8 years old by the first day of the program. -Students may bring their own machines but may not leave them at the studio between classes. DETAILS Skill Level: Beginner+. Child must have Kid Sewing Machine 101 or equivalent experience as described above. Ages: 8-11 (elementary school age) Date: Mondays, 9/12, 9/19, 10/3, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 11/28, 12/5 from 5:30pm - 6:45pm. There is no class on 9/26, 10/10, 10/31. The makeup day is 12/12 at the same time. Equipment Needed: Equipment is provided. Children are welcome to bring their own machines if they would like. Materials Needed: All materials will be provided are included in the registration fee. Instructor: Mary-Jo Bonofiglio Cancellation Policy: All cancellation requests must be received 2 weeks before the start of class. There are no refunds or credits after that date unless we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist. COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: At this time masks are optional for all participants.


Cancellation Policy

-A minimum enrollment must be met by 48 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a Foundations or After School series and 4 weeks before a camp. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary.
